The PLUS Company staff work hard every day to fulfill our mission: empower individuals with disabilities to maximize their independence. PLUS Company Direct Support Professionals (DSP’s) support individuals with disabilities in their daily lives, whether that is running errands, helping with appointments, assisting with cooking and cleaning in their home, or working on daily living skills that will allow the client to become more independent. The goal is to help the individual to become a vital, productive member of their community.

Direct Support Professionals
The Position
Every day is different when you are a Direct Support Professional (DSP). You will work with adults who have diverse abilities and needs, assisting them to learn skills, participate in community activities, and helping them to be as independent as possible. One day you may be driving to the store to assist with grocery shopping, while another you could be moving to the beat during a music therapy class. If you love the idea of making a real difference in the lives of others and not being stuck behind a desk, this job is for you!

Our Services
Customized Supports & Services
We provide individual programming based on the needs of the individual including life skills, social opportunities, community access, education and enrichment activities and employment training and vocational support.
Employment
The PLUS Company Career and Business Services department provides career assessment, employment skills training, job development and on-the-job support for individuals with disabilities who wish to be employed.
Residential Services
All living situations are designed to suit individual needs, whether through staffed residences, Enhanced Family Care, staffed apartments, or companion and roommate programs.
Educational & Enrichment Services
These community-based learning opportunities allow individuals with disabilities to explore interests, remain fit and healthy physically and mentally, and learn skills that will lead to greater independence.
NADSP Certification
The National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) has developed a national certification program for Direct Support Professional (DSP’s) working in community human services. The purpose of this program is to provide national recognition for the contributions and competence of DSP’s who apply for and meet the certification standards.
